Never Assume!
I spent the year of 1999 in Rhode Island. (Yeah, I know. Biggest to Smallest - yuck)
One Friday in March, we had about 2" of snow It shut down the entire state. Sunday, it warmed up and rained. By Monday, no evidence of any snow remained.
On Monday, a couple of co-workers stopped by my office and asked.... "You're from Texas.. what do you think of our winter."
I proceeded to teach them an object lesson on assumptions and prejudice.
"Dude, I'm from FAIRBANKS! This ain't Winter!!@!! "Winter" is when it's white outdoors from October to April!"
